Green Power Smoothie:
I saw this recipe on a cooking show the other night and I fell in love with it. This smoothie is perfect if you’ve overindulged over the last few days and you’re feeling sluggish and yucky and you need a quick detox. It’s so amazing for your liver, it’s packed with all the essential nutrients that your body is craving during this time, and because its a smoothie, not a juice you’re getting so many benefits out of it, your body will love you for it and you will just feel amazing!
And of course it’s perfect on a hot day if you need a cool healthy drink to cool you down!
2 celery sticks, chopped
½ cucumber, chopped
1 apple cored and sliced
½ tsp fresh ginger, grated
Small bunch baby spinach, kale or sprouts
Put a little filtered water in a blender, then top with the rest of the ingredients. Start the blender slowly then gradually increase the speed until blended.
